About
We are looking for someone to join the Healthwatch Bury team as a Project Officer, specialising in disability and carers interests. The role will involve engaging with groups, organisations and individuals in Bury that are themselves, or represent, carers and people with disabilities and gathering information about their experiences of the health and social care systems. You will be putting together and carrying out projects with our engagement and research colleagues, including surveys, focus groups, one-to-one interviews and attending groups and events. You will then analyse the information gathered, looking at where things have gone well and what can be improved and find the right way to report that information in a way most suitable to share with the people that can make a difference to how those services are delivered. If you are a sensitive and confident communicator who would be comfortable working to represent carers and people with disabilities in many environments and scenarios, this role could be made for you. We can offer flexible working times and days and much of the work can be done remotely with all IT equipment supplied, although there will be a need to engage in person with some people and groups. You will also be able to work in our offices, although this is dependent on the official Government issued COVID-19 guidance at the time.
