Service Manager (House Manager) Learning Disabilities – Radcliffe Salary: £22-24K This role will be based in Radcliffe within the supported living service setting with 4 service users (Learning Disability and complex care) allowing daily input into day to day running of service provision and ongoing supervision/observation of support being delivered. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • You will be in charge of managing the day-to-day operations of the service location working along with your team of support workers • Manage the care team including effective and timely completion of supervisions, appraisals, observations and spot checks • Carry out initial assessments of new service users’ needs and to formulate person centred care plans and risk assessments in preparation of service user transition • Ensure that reassessments of service users and carers and modifications to care plans and risk assessments are completed effectively within guidelines and appropriate time scales. • Working with the Coordinator to ensure Support Worker Rota’s are completed effectively to ensure client’s needs are met and reflect contracted hours and working time directive. • Recruitment and selection – indicating staffing need to the coordinator/recruitment office • Training, including induction – ongoing training – identifying needs and raising these needs with the coordinator. • Team Meetings – scheduling monthly meetings – ensuring these are recorded and accessible and all actions made and recorded. • Liaise with the Registered/ Deputy Care Manager, Support Workers and Service Users with regard to care needs to ensure a fully coordinated service and accurate and workable rotas or other relevant information to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. • Reporting the need for an investigation into any reported accident / incident to the Registered /deputy Care Manager, ensuring the local authorities safeguarding policy and procedures relating to vulnerable adults and children are followed. • Monitor the quality of services delivered to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and the Essential Standards for Quality and safety as regulated by the Care Quality Commission. You will be in charge of all quality and compliance assessments as such: • Weekly Audits • Health and safety checks • Monthly Medication Audit • COSHH Audit • Environment service Audit • Health and Safety audit • Reviewing care plans and risk assessments • Ensuring all staff have read and signed documents within the service Your working hours will predominantly be 37.5 hours per. You will be responsible for managing your own on call and hours of work. In order to meet the needs of hours or as required by the needs of Service.
