- The post is offered on a Casual basis working for Bury ACES the council’s casual recruitment Agency. Bury ACES is a casual/bank internal recruitment agency for the Department of Communities and Wellbeing, Bury Council. We recruit staff to cover for absences, such as annual leave, sickness, peaks in workloads, maternity, paternity and adoption leave and training for example, for the substantive / contracted workforce. ACES employees are offered work on a non-mutuality obligation basis, meaning that you do not have to accept work offered and we do not have to offer you work. You will work with other ACES employees’ as well as contracted / substantive employees of Bury Council; occasionally you may work with other external agency staff, you will work with our Customers (service users). We are seeking to add Casual Driver Attendants to our register of employees. To be suitable for this position you must be aged 25 years or older. Driver attendants are based at Bradley Fold Depot and provide first point of contact between service users and professionals and others as appropriate to varied circumstances. The duties include collecting people from and returning them to their homes and assisting with any personal care tasks necessary before, during and after their journey and assisting as needed upon arrival at their destination. The hourly rate for this post is £10.21 plus holiday Pay £1.23 per hour. An additional payment will be paid for unsociable working hours and/or weekend working. You will be willing and able to assess situations to enable a trouble free journey for all concerned and deal with different situations as they arise and take appropriate remedial. The post is subject to DBS enhanced checks. The post holder will be able to administer first aid as required. Training will be given and you will be expected to attend training courses as necessary.
