- We are looking for someone to join the Healthwatch Bury team as a Volunteer Coordinator to grow our volunteering offer. Your role will involve recruiting, training, coordinating and utilizing volunteers to carry out engagement, research and project related activities on behalf of Healthwatch Bury. This is with the purpose of gathering feedback about health and social care services, providing information and signposting about services and raising the profile of Healthwatch Bury & its work. You will be responsible for creating and updating policies, handbooks and documentation around volunteers and developing roles to fit with our projects and aims, as well as keeping up to date about relevant legislation that impacts volunteering. Creating a diverse and capable team of volunteers and managing them to develop themselves as well as utilising them to expand our work will be a key and rewarding job. If you are a confident communicator with great people skills who would be comfortable working with a diverse range of volunteers, this role could be made for you. We can offer flexible working times and days and much of the work can be done remotely with all IT equipment supplied, although there will be a need to engage in person with some people and groups. You will also be able to work in our offices, although this is dependent on the official Government issued COVID-19 guidance at the time.
