- We are looking to recruit Support workers within the Choices for Living Well Service, based at Killelea House, Brandlesholme Road Bury you will work in Killelea and in the community in the person’s own home. You must be a car driver and have access to a car. Knowledge of working in a similar post would be an advantage however training will be given. The Service is a bed based and community-based service. It is a short-term service that supports customers including those with complex needs, to regain their skills and confidence so they can return home after a period of therapy and support. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team that can make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable adults living within the Bury area. You will encourage and motivate customers and assist them to build their confidence and achieve their personal goals. You will need to demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment, drive and a strong teamwork ethic and be flexible in supporting colleagues and the service during busy times and periods of absence. You will be supportive in assisting and promoting the community and bed-based service. The hours of work are over a 2-week rota working 35 or 17.5 hours per week. These rotas are split shifts 8am-1pm and 4.30pm-9.30pm, 12-5 on a shift pattern, 4 days 1 week and 3 days the following week including weekend working.
